Terms & Conditions


Angling Paradise are acting as booking agents for the fishing, travel & accommodation providers (“Providers”). We do not offer “package holidays” as we merely arrange for you to contract independently with the various providers.


On receipt by us of your deposit we will reserve your holiday at your chosen venue and the other things you want us to book for you. Your deposit is accepted as part payment towards the total cost of the holiday and will be allocated by us between the various Providers at our discretion.


Your booking is only confirmed and accepted when the invoice is dispatched to the person who has organised the booking (the Lead Booker). The Lead Booker accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of his party.


The Lead Booker confirms that he/she is at least 18 years old and has supplied us with correct details (including name, address, contact numbers, & age if below 16) of everyone in the party.


The Lead Booker confirms that he/she has the authority of all other persons included in the party to make the booking on their behalf, that he/she accepts these terms and conditions for himself and them and has provided a copy of these terms and the other contractual information to all members of the party. We will only deal with the Lead Booker. The Lead Booker is personally liable for all costs and charges for the account of the party


Most elements of the holiday except the accommodation and fishery must be paid in full at time of booking. The balance of the cost of the holiday less any deposit paid must be paid no later than 12 weeks before departure (the “balance due date”). If you book within 12 weeks of departure you must pay the total cost of your holiday at the time of booking. 


If payment of the balance is not received by us in cleared funds by the balance due date, we may cancel your booking, forfeit any deposit paid and levy a cancellation charge (less the deposit paid) as though there had been a cancellation in accordance with paragraph 7.


Cancellation of a booking will only be accepted in writing from the Lead Booker. The following cancellation charges will apply unless the relevant Provider’s terms state otherwise: Period before departure Cancellation Charge More than 70 days 50% of total cost of booking Less than 70 days 100% of total cost of booking In the event of any difference from the Providers’ terms we will impose their cancellation charges plus an administration fee of £50. If we re-let the accommodation and fishing after the cancellation charge has been paid we will retain the deposit taken in respect of accommodation and fishing to cover our costs in re-letting and refund the balance of the accommodation and fishing charges to you. If we are only able to re-let part of a cancelled period, or are only able to re-let the cancelled holiday at a discounted rate, then the refund will be reduced to the sum obtained on the re-letting in respect of the cancelled period less your deposit.


Quoted prices include VAT and may be increased or decreased to reflect changes in taxes and other levies


Requested changes to the booking will be accommodated if possible and without an administration charge from us. Any applicable extra costs charged by the venue or other suppliers will be passed on to you. Amended holiday costs will be the cost of the amended holiday on the day the amendment is made and any original savings (for example early booking discounts) may not be applicable to the new holiday cost. If the change you request reduces or increases the number of the party, we may re-calculate the total holiday price based on the revised number of persons.


Occasionally we may inform you of changes to your arrangements. Most changes are minor, for example a change to a ferry time. In the case of a minor change we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If we have to make a major change, for example a change to another lake, you will be given the choice of accepting the change to the arrangements or cancelling the holiday with a full refund of all monies paid.


Unless we inform you otherwise your accommodation and the fishing will be available from 4pm on your day of arrival and until 9am on your day of departure. 


All members of the party must have a valid UK/EU passport. Refunds are not available if permission to travel is denied by border authorities.


Angling Paradise & the various Providers may refuse to honour your booking if we or they judge your behaviour to be likely to cause discomfort or harm to others and no refunds will be made.


Travel – Any travel arrangements made for you by Angling Paradise are subject to the published conditions and regulations of the carrier We are unable to guarantee that you will depart at the times specified, and we do not have any liability to you for any delay or inconvenience. As with all the Providers we contract on your behalf and the Providers, not us, are responsible to you for the provision of the relevant service and you are responsible to them for compliance with their terms and conditions.. We will provide copies of their terms and conditions upon request.


Force Majeure: We will not be liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: Strikes, Riots, Political Unrest, Hostilities, War or threat of War, Terrorist Activity, Industrial Disputes, Fire, Flood, Technical/Weather problems to transport, Closure of Ports, Weather conditions or any other event(s) beyond our control.


Angling Paradise strongly recommends that you purchase personal travel and, if driving, vehicle breakdown insurance.

16 - Data Protection

(a) We process the personal data of all members of the party and may transmit it to the Providers: to enable us and them to process your bookings and comply with the terms of our respective contracts with you. We have no control over such data once it has been passed to a Provider. In connection with the storage and use of images as referred to in clause 17. (b) Any member of the party may obtain from us details of their personal data held by us and we will correct it if requested. (c) We will delete the non-photographic data of your party members once six years has elapsed since they last took a trip organised by us. Photographic data will be retained indefinitely. (d) Until the Lead Booker withdraws consent we will use his/her personal data for sending promotional material on fishing holidays. (e) Our data processing activities are overseen by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. If you have a complaint about our processing it should be addressed to the ICO.


Images. From time to time party members may provide us with photographs of themselves or other members of the party (whether directly or by posting them on social media to which we have access). If those photographs concern the activities of the party whilst on a holiday organised by us we will assume that the photographer and persons depicted in them have granted us consent to reproduce those photographs in any medium to publicise our business and those of the Providers. Those consents can be withdrawn at any time by written notice to us


Jurisdiction: Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions constitutes acceptance of a contract on these terms subject to English Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.


Indemnity: Lead Booker agrees that he is responsible for the behaviour of all members of his party and agrees to reimburse Angling Paradise all their costs and losses suffered by Angling Paradise in connection with a claim by a Provider, a member of the party or any third party and arising from any act or omission of a member of the party.


Complaints Procedure: In the unlikely event that you or a member of your party has a complaint about your holiday;  
(a) Whilst at the venue - the complaint must be notified to the owner / bailiff in the first instance and then Angling Paradise by telephone. You must give the owners and / or Angling Paradise a chance to resolve your complaint whilst you are at the venue.  
 (b) On return - unresolved complaints must be sent in writing and with photographic evidence if possible to Angling Paradise within 7 days of your arrival back in the UK. (c) Except in extra-ordinary circumstances we will not deal with complaints first made after the end of the holiday.


Liability: Angling Paradise is only providing a booking service. We are not providing accommodation, fishing or transport and we are not liable for the failure of any of those things unless caused by our negligence or breach of contract. Where applicable our liability is limited by relevant international conventions and treaties covering the provision of travel and accommodation services.


Disabled Travellers; our aim is to provide a high level of service to all our customers. However we are not a specialist operator in the field of holidays for the disabled. The majority of the fishing venues and accommodation that we offer is not suitable or equipped for the needs of many disabled people. Therefore if any member of your party has any relevant disability we must be informed at the time of booking when we will do our best to help and advise.


In the event of our insolvency your payments are protected. In accordance with The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 all those booking with Anglers Paradise are fully protected for the initial deposit and the balance of all monies paid to us, including repatriation if required, arising from cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Anglers Paradise.


Every venue has Fishery Rules – these must not be broken.  If you do break the rules the owner may terminate your holiday without compensation


A security deposit may be required when you arrive at a venue. This should be refunded in full subject to deductions for any breakages or extra cleaning costs incurred if the accommodation or fishery is left in an unreasonable state. Our venues are well run and we would ask that you leave them in the same clean state as you found them


Boats may be available at the venue. The use of boats is entirely at your own risk. Boat hire or loan is not included in any of our packages. If you wish to use a boat, its loan or hire would be a separate contract between you and the person hiring or loaning the boat. Everyone using a boat MUST use a lifejacket and ensure adequate safety precautions are taken at all times


All venues are primarily fishing venues; they may not be suitable for children. Persons taking children are reminded that they do so entirely at their own risk. Adults are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children. Extra care should always be taken near water.
