China Lake is an attractive 18 acre water, 24 feet at its deepest point and home to 400 fish averaging 35lb.
Stock include stunning dark commons and mirrors and one orange and black Koi fondly known as Kevin. There are Mirror Carp up to an impressive 68lb, Common Carp up to 50lb and one Catfish weighing in at 100lb! With respect to the natural environment, foliage has been cleared around its ten well spaced swims to create ideal fishing zones for a maximum of Eight Anglers. A most peaceful setting there is no noise pollution to disturb you except crashing fish and bite alarms!
China Lakes at Les Kaolins is ideally located in the Southern Brittany department of Morbihan, with easy access from two Ferry ports and two Airports.
Interestingly the venue was formally Kaolin pits excavated for their china clay over a hundred years ago, slowly evolving into Carp lakes over a period of 40 years.
There are currently lakes open with a mix of Leather, Common, Mirror and King Carp, with a further two lakes under development, all set in 80 acres of peaceful private parkland, yet less than 15 minutes drive from the picturesque market towns of Scaër, Le Faouët and Quimperelé.
China lakes are known for their quality facilities and food. There is an onsite restaurant and bar with pool table and satellite television, and separate Men’s and Women’s newly refurbished toilet and shower blocks open 24 hours a day and always immaculately clean.
Optional food packs include breakfast baguette, and a delightful two course home cooked evening meal with plenty of choice throughout the week. Snacks, alcohol and soft drinks are available in the clubhouse, as well as bait and China Lake Merchandise.
