The fish stock is outstanding. The number of fish is around 700 and they are mirrors, commons and koi carp. You can use a charcoal grill, but fireplaces are not allowed. Depending on the peg you can also fish from a camper or caravan (pegs 1/6/10).
The chance for many to catch a pb are given by a good head of big carp going up to a whopping 70lb. The water level of the lake is dependent on the ground springs that feed the lake. It can vary from 6 to 8,5m from May to September and from 4 to 6,5m from October to April. 44lbkg fish are common to catch at Koiland. The owner estimates around 150 fish going from 40 to 55lb.
Except for number Nine, all swims are doubles, and some feature a platform. Although all swims are laid out for Two anglers, they can be booked as singles by paying a higher fee. Three rods are allowed and must be cast or placed with the use of a remote bait boat. Boats are only allowed on lake exclusive bookings. The swims are also nice and shady for the summer months. The whole area is fenced, and the car can be left on your swim except for swim Four where you can drive to the swims to unload and load your gear but then the car must be parked in the car park.
Pellets can be purchased on site and bait boat are permitted on all swims.
Koiland has previously not been open for business for Three years and only reopened in the beginning of 2016 for Carp fishing.
The lake is roughly 7 hectares in size and stands out for its fast-growing Koi Carp population of 200 fish of various weights.
Toilets and showers are available as well as charging points for electronical devices, and the nearest supermarket is only 5 mins away by Car. Dogs are welcomed.
We love that at his Venue you can order pizza and pasta at the clubhouse which then is delivered to the lake, thats the way to fish!
