Lac Noir only opened to Anglers in 2017 and homes over one hundred Catfish to over 100lb, and Carp to 45lb.
It is 8 acres of water which takes it’s name from it’s impressive depth of 28ft at its deepest point, where it is pitch black dark. This lake has 5 double swims carefully cut into the reed lined banks, 2 of which have a backdrop of towering trees made up by the woodland, and a pathway meandering around the lake perimeter. So you and your friends could have this mysterious feeling lake all to yourselves.
China Lakes at Les Kaolins is ideally located in the Southern Brittany department of Morbihan, with easy access from two Ferry ports and two Airports.
Interestingly the venue was formally Kaolin pits excavated for their china clay over a hundred years ago, slowly evolving into Carp lakes over a period of 40 years.
There are currently lakes open with a mix of Leather, Common, Mirror and King Carp, with a further two lakes under development, all set in 80 acres of peaceful private parkland, yet less than 15 minutes drive from the picturesque market towns of Scaër, Le Faouët and Quimperelé.
China lakes are known for their quality facilities and food. There is an onsite restaurant and bar with pool table and satellite television, and separate Men’s and Women’s newly refurbished toilet and shower blocks open 24 hours a day and always immaculately clean.
Optional food packs include breakfast baguette, and a delightful two course home cooked evening meal with plenty of choice throughout the week. Snacks, alcohol and soft drinks are available in the clubhouse, as well as bait and China Lake Merchandise.
